JOB OVERVIEW:
The Research Coordinator provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team coordinating research activities that may include recruiting research participants, data collection and management and other research activities as assigned.

This position will support Musculoskeletal Injury Rehabilitation Research for Operational Readiness (MIRROR), which provides critical infrastructure, operational and research support to advance the treatment and preventive care for service members with non-combat related musculoskeletal injuries. The Research Coordinator will support the Department of Orthopaedics and/or the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required (Strongly desired coursework/degree obtained in the following: Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Orthopaedics, Physical Medicine)
  • Coursework or direct practical experience in Human Anatomy & Physiology required
  • 2-4 years experience in clinical research preferred
  • 2-4 years non-profit, research, or healthcare experience desired
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required

Research Experience Opportunity- Exercise for Brain Health Laboratory

Looking for energetic and dependable individuals interested in gaining research experience to become exercise instructors for a study examining the impact of exercise on cognitive function. The study is conducted by Dr. J. Carson Smith. 

We have openings for different exercise classes between the times of 7:30-8:30 AM, 5:00 pm-6:00 pm, and 5:30-6:30 pm. Classes run every Monday through Thursday. Must be able to commit to teaching at least twice a week during the academic school year.

Wagner College Sports Performance Internship

This program is for students who have an interest in strength and conditioning/sports performance at the division one level. Throughout the duration of the program, students will cover topics such as:

-Principles of Athletic Development
-7 Areas of Program Design
-3 Principles of Exercise Selection
-Steps to Successful Implementation and Growth of a Program
-Nutrition
-Recovery
-Coaching- Lift Technique & Teaching Progressions
-Speed, Agility, Change of Direction

Interns will have the opportunity to meet and learn from coaches and professionals from different backgrounds and different levels of collegiate and professional sport such as strength and conditioning, dietetics, sports psych, physical therapy.

Women in Sports Tech (WiST) Fellowship

Apply for the Women in Sports Tech (WiST) Fellowship!


Learn about the WiST Fellowship program from WiST founder Marilou McFarlane. This exciting program awards $5,000 grants, plus up to $2,500 for travel and housing, to female college and grad students for summer internships in the sports tech business.


Fellowships are open to all enrolled female full-time undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited university located in the United States. Students must be in good academic standing.

Sports Performance Intern:

We are seeking individuals - Sports Performance Interns - who are passionate about sports and fitness and have a strong desire for excellence and success while working in a team-oriented atmosphere when assisting and training athletes. They must enjoy working with clients of all ages and abilities, with a primary focus on the 8 to 18 age group. 

The internship will consist of 3 main focus areas:
  1. Process: Understand the Redline path and take ownership of a component within it
  2. Platform: Build knowledge of Fusionetics platform to evaluate the process to test athletics via the application
  3. Project: Complete a project at the end of internship that displays skills learned and strengths in skillsets

Sports Marketing Intern:

We are seeking an individual - Sports Marketing Intern - who has a passion about sports and fitness and has a strong desire for excellence and success while working in a team oriented atmosphere when assisting anyone that interacts with Redline Athletics - Bowie. They must enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities, with a primary focus on the 8 to 18 age group and those athletes' parents. We are looking for a person who is extremely high-energy, motivating, passionate about helping people, while also learning how to market the business in numerous mediums.

  2. Process: Understand the sales and marketing process from social media lead generation to in-person tours and client completion.
  3. Platform: Build knowledge of MindBody and High Level applications to manage and better client experiences.
  4. Project: Complete a project at the end of internship that displays skills learned and strengths in skillsets.

Yale Sports Performance Volunteer Internship Summer/Fall 2020


- Yale University Sports Performance is currently accepting applications for Summer AND Fall Internship Positions (Summer: May 26, 2020 - August 7, 2020 Fall: TBD)
- Participants will learn the science and practice of collegiate strength and conditioning through hands on practical weight room experience as well as weekly lectures on a variety of topics
-Interns will have the opportunity to work with our 32 teams - including our 2019 Ivy League Championship Football team and 2018 National Championship Men's Lacrosse team
- Preferred Qualifications: Recent graduate or pursuing degree in Exercise Science, though we accept applications from all interested in this field. The position is unpaid, but is good for college credit and CEU's with the NSCA.
