Site Research Coordinator: Full-time Position

The Exercise for Brain Health (E4BH) Laboratory at the University of Maryland, directed by Dr. J. Carson Smith, is seeking a full-time Site Coordinator! The E4BH Lab is focused on understanding how exercise and physical activity affect human brain function and mental health.

The focus of this position will be to support a federally funded clinical trial examining the impact of supervised exercise classes on brain and cognitive function in older adults at increased risk for Alzheimer’s Disease. The exercise classes are run out of several facilities within driving distance of College Park, including retirement communities, fitness centers/private gyms, and community centers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • managing exercise class schedules to ensure all exercise classes have instructor coverage
  • site supply management
  • data quality control and management
  • participant recruitment
  • initial outreach and securing of new sites
  • training of new exercise instructors
  • other tasks that support the efforts of the clinical trial and laboratory
