SGA Committee on Health and Wellness

The mission of the SGA Committee on Health and Wellness is to promote an environment of nutritional, mental, and physical health at UMD. In the committee, we split off into “project teams” to work on different initiatives, including town halls, social media campaigns, and campus events.

In the midst of two pandemics - COVID-19 and the pandemic of racism - we are coordinating a Mental Health town hall, cultural competency-oriented social media campaign, self-defense workshop, and general COVID-19 messaging.

If you’re interested in any of these initiatives or just want to learn more about the committee in general, please fill out this form (https://forms.gle/hmfJPQJWXVF2K7Yp6) and attend our weekly Monday 6 pm meetings using the following link: https://umd.zoom.us/j/95806978164pwd=MW4vZHJuN25KdGdsV0wyVHhsdXZydz09
